Biografía

Humberto Valdivieso, Ph.D., es profesor de Filosofía Contemporánea y Teoría de la Literatura en la UCAB (Universidad Católica Andrés Bello) e investigador del Centro de Investigación y Formación Humanística, cuyas principales áreas de investigación son Cultura Digital, Arte Contemporáneo y Posthumanismo. Valdivieso es Curador Senior del Centro Cultural UCAB y es autor de varios libros y artículos académicos relacionados con el arte y el diseño que se han publicado en Venezuela, México e Italia. “La movilidad del presente: Estética, espacio y tiempo en la contemporaneidad” es su última publicación. Forma parte del Comité Editorial de las revistas Comunicación del Centro Gumilla y del Anuario ININCO de la UCV (Universidad Central de Venezuela). También es miembro de AICA (Asociación Internacional de Críticos de Arte), miembro del Comité de Cultura del Centro Venezolano-Americano, miembro de la junta directiva de Espacio Anna Frank, y tiene alianza con Fundación Telefónica Venezuela para la proyecto, Cultura Digital.

Bio

Humberto Valdivieso, Ph.D., is a professor of Contemporary Philosophy and Literary Theory at the UCAB (Andrés Bello Catholic University) and a researcher at Centro de Investigación y Formación Humanística, whose primary areas of research are Digital Culture, Contemporary Art, and Posthumanism. Valdivieso is Senior Curator of UCAB Cultural Center, and is an author of several books and academic articles related to art and design that have been published in Venezuela, Mexico, and Italy. “La movilidad del presente: Estética, espacio y tiempo en la contemporaneidad” (The mobility of the present: Aesthetics, space and time in contemporaneity) is his latest publication. He is part of the Editorial Board of the magazines Comunicación from Centro Gumilla and UCV’s (Universidad Central de Venezuela) Anuario ININCO. He is also a member of AICA (International Association of Art Critics), a member of the Culture Committee for the Venezuelan-American Center, a member of the board of directors of Espacio Anna Frank, and has an alliance with Fundación Telefónica Venezuela for the project, Digital Culture.
